P.S. 9X The Ryer Avenue Elementary School

invested in the VariQuest 21st Century Package, CONSISTING of the Perfecta 3600 Scan-to-Print, Cutout Maker 1800, Motiva 400, Cold Laminator 2510, Design Center 2300. They acquired these tools with the help of their Community Based Organization, Replications.

List 3 classrooms, programs, or teachers who are benefiting from your VariQuest tools, and what each of them are doing with it.

Our Attendance Team has been able to use the Perfecta poster maker to create posters and banners to inform our school community about the upcoming events and trips. We have also created posters that show the classes with perfect attendance and the teachers are able to display it on their doors . We are able to create mass production posters to display on different floors on a timely manner. Our administration team is able to enlarge our school 's monthly calendars and display it in the main lobby for the parents to be up to date with what is happening in our school for the month. Our principal Ms. Berna Sifonte is working on creating a Career Exploration room in our mini building for our younger students to learn about different careers. They will be able to play with hands on materials and costumes regarding each career. The room will include bulletin boards for each career and using the Cutout Machine has made it easily possible to create letters and images to display on the boards. Last year, our science teacher Ms. Kaur was able to create plaques/awards using our Motiva machine to give to our students that represented our school in our District 10 Science Fair.

Our Sustainability team, The Green Team that consists of twelve 5th Grade students, have been using the Perfecta and the Cutout Maker to create posters and banners to bring awareness to our Climate Action Days in accordance with the Chancellor's Regulations. They are able to use fun fonts and images to create eye catching posters. We have created posters about recycling and composting as well.

Having the different machines has been a time saver! We are able to create beautiful displays and the teachers have been able to jazz up their classroom's bulletin boards.
